The Club The Oak Bay Recreation Centre is located in the Victoria suburb of Oak Bay off Foul Bay Road at Cadboro Bay Road then right at Bee Street. The club is a public facility operated by Oak Bay Recreation in co-operation with the municipality of Oak Bay. The Oak Bay Recreation Centre has been serving the Victoria tennis community for the past 25 years. The Tennis Centre operates as a pay and play facility.
Facility The Oak Bay Recreation Centre has seven year round indoor hard courts housed under two tennis bubbles (a four court bubble and a three court bubble). In addition to tennis there is an Ice Arena; Curling Rink; Indoor swimming pool with hot tub, sauna, water slides and a small pool for small children; Childcare; Fitness centre; Social lounge and change rooms with showers
Programs Oak Bay Recreation Centre offers comprehensive tennis instructional programs year round for the beginning tennis player through to the advanced competitor. These tennis programs are run by Tennis Coordinator, Ed Bakker and include adult, teen and junior (starting at 5 years of age) lesson programs as well as a tournament player program. Private, semi private and small group lessons can be arranged through the tennis coordinator. A Ball Machine is also available for use. There are also a number of Adult social programs to choose from including women's social tennis, Friday Night mixed socials, men's social tennis and practice and play.
